Redwoods!
Redwoods are incredibly flame resistant because their sap is mostly water. I explain this in a video that I'll try to figure out how to upload later. Anyhow, they can survive fires and continue to grow even after their heartwood has burned. Hollow trees such as this one were used by settlers as enclosures for their animals and are called 'goosepens.'
